Existing Document Reviews

Are you confident that your existing estate planning documents from another firm are up-to-date, consistent with current laws, and still reflect your current needs and wishes?

If not, we offer reviews of existing estate planning documents created elsewhere, with an efficient process for gathering your information and communicating our recommendations.

It is time to have your existing plan reviewed if your estate plan is over 20 years old or any of the following have occurred:

  • marriage
  • divorce
  • births
  • deaths
  • new choices for executor / trustee / guardian of children
  • family members with creditor problems
  • new home
  • different ideas on distributing assets.

Document review is complimentary if you would like to receive your recommendations via a video summary over email.

If you prefer an in-person meeting to discuss recommendations, costs are described below.

Watch this video to learn more about our document review process and options for delivery of our recommendations.

Document Review Process

Step 1: Get Started

  • Call our office and speak with our intake coordinator who will gather information and explain the process.

Step 2: Complete our Document Review Form

  • This helps us understand what documents you have and what changes you may need.
  • The form can be downloaded from the link below or emailed or mailed to you upon request.

Step 3: Send Us Your Documents and Completed Form (2 methods)

We can review any of the following: Trust, Wills, Financial Powers of Attorney, Health Care Directives, Living Wills, Beneficiary deeds.

Delivery Method A: Secure Online Portal

  • Upload digital copies of documents and the completed review form to our secure and confidential portal. (This is our preferred and most efficient method).

Delivery Method B: Office Drop-Off (copies or originals to be left with the firm)

  • Drop off originals or copies and the completed review form to be left at our office in our secure storage.
  • Please call before dropping off so we can ensure someone is available to greet you and receive documents.
  • Please note: Attorneys are not available for questions at the time of drop-off.
  • We cannot copy or scan documents at drop-off.

Step 4: Attorney Review

  • An attorney reviews your documents and completed form within 2-3 weeks after received.

Step 5: Recommendations Provided

  • Recommendations will be delivered to you via one of the two options below.
